One event on July 25, 2020 at 3:00 pm
The “We Thinks Good,” Philosophy Discussion Group will take place July 11 and July 25, from 3–4:30 p.m. on Zoom. The theme for July is Prison Abolition.
What is prison abolition? Why do abolitionists want to eliminate the prison-industrial complex? What policies and practices can we use in place of policing and incarceration?
Member Michelle Ciurria (Philosophy Ph.D. who teaches philosophy at UMSL) will lead a workshop on ethical and political philosophy and theory on Zoom.
Each session begins with a presentation, leading to a guided discussion. The workshop is designed for newcomers, so don’t be shy!
