People practicing TaiChi

The Thirteen Postures and the Tai Chi Walking. This is perfect for beginners, and useful for those who know some Tai Chi. The Thirteen Postures comprise the basic “alphabet” of all Tai Chi movements. Everyone is welcome. You do not have to be an Ethical Society member to attend.

The teacher is Don Beere.

Don has been learning and practicing Tai Chi for over 40 years. Between 1978 and 1999, he coordinated 21 yearly, three to five day long, Tai Chi workshops at Central Michigan University (CMU) led by three different Tai Chi masters, Hubert Lui, ChungLiang “Al” Huang and Dr. Zaiwen Shen. He taught Tai Chi as a credit-bearing course at CMU and led many workshops. When he moved to the Cincinnati area in 2001, he taught Tai Chi for four years at St. Elizabeth Hospital’s Holistic Health Center in Edgewood, KY. He also has been certified in TaiJi for Arthritis by Dr. Paul Lam, the developer of this form. Don has also taught this form.
