Social Media Marketing on a Shoestring
August 9, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Effective communication can help almost any community grow. Social media is all about building relationships and making connections. Approaches to social media marketing can be confusing and overwhelming. By demystifying best practices and free online tools, this presentation will help empower secular and nontheist organizations to better tell their stories and reach more people.
The presentation (in Colonnade C) will include information for both those new to social media and those who have more experience. It will also create an opportunity for brainstorming and collaboration.
Communicating is Louise Jett’s specialty. In short, she is a storyteller and an educator. Flexible and strategic, she approaches challenges with optimism and enthusiasm. She is a social media expert, who spreads awareness of the Ethical Society of St. Louis, as their social media manager. She also works as the communication coordinator for the Ethical Culture Society of Westchester and social media coordinator for the Secular Student Alliance. A humanist, Louise values free thought and questioning. Devoted to behaving in a way that elicits the best in others, Louise believes all people have worth and deserve to be treated with respect. As a media specialist and faculty member at Lewis and Clark Community College, she serves as a mentor and friend to students and co-workers alike. Nothing makes her happier than sharing knowledge and learning from others. She believes kindness is everything.
