September First Friday Forum

September 4 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Mark your calendars now for the first Friday of each month, 7 p.m. on Zoom! That is when the Ethical Society will feature our new program, a speaker series titled “First Friday Forum.” Each month will feature a different speaker and a different topic. Presentations will last about 45 minutes and will be followed by Q&A. Non-members are also welcome.

Dr. Jonathan Hill, Emeritus Professor of Anthropology at SIU Carbondale and a member of the Ethical Society, will launch the initiative on Friday, September 4 with his talk titled “Indigenous Amazonian Peoples and the Struggle for Environmental Justice in South America.”

If you would like to recommend a topic and/or speaker for future sessions, please contact a member of the planning team: Carole Beere, Sharon Biegen, Norm Eisenberg, or Krystal White. We look forward to Zooming with you on Friday, September 4 at 7 p.m.
