Darwin Day Evolution Celebration

March 17 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

DarwinDay2-2019-850x600

The theory of evolution by natural selection is now a cornerstone of science, and we are learning more about the process every day.

For Ethical Humanists, evolution is fascinating for its own sake, but it also influences how we view humanity, our own lives and ethical values, and the rest of the natural world.

So, join us for this special Sunday — we will celebrate evolution through science, story, readings, and song; explore some of the emotions and questions that evolutionary theory raises; and talk about why evolution matters.

Speakers will include Claude Bernard, Daniel Sasson, Toni Wirts, and James Croft, and songs from The Darwin Song Project will be performed by Billy Dechand and David Taylor.

Split Collection

Half of today’s undesignated collection will be donated to Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri, which provides and supports reproductive and sexual health services, access, and rights: plannedparenthood.org.

[This Platform has been rescheduled from last month.]
