Earth Day Festival

April 22 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

4-22-18Platform800x565

A major cause of environmental pollution and climate change is America’s culture of disposability. So this year, our intergenerational Earth Day Platform will promote sustainable living by celebrating our “treasures”: possessions that have been parts of our lives for a long time (“a long time” having a different meaning for different ages!). Join us for special music and pictures, poems, and stories highlighting long-term appreciation and the principles of repair and reuse. Do you have a treasure you’d like to share with a short story, poem, picture, or otherwise? Contact Kate Lovelady (klovelady@ethicalstl.org). You do not have to bring your treasure to the Society if it’s too big!

Please note: Every Sunday, but especially for Earth Day, we encourage attendees to consider using public transit, walking and biking, and carpooling. If you’re planning to go to Earth Day in Forest Park after Platform, carpool from the Ethical Society!
