Christianity from a Humanist Perspective
October 3 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
An event every month that begins at 2:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating until May 31, 2020
There is now a group meeting on first Thursdays, 2-4 p.m. in the Hanke Room, to learn about and discuss the formation of the Christian tradition from a humanist historical perspective. Some recent discussion topics include the ways Jewish and pagan civilizations thought of divinity and God in the early first century, the history of the early formation of Christianity based on the oral traditions that existed around the Mediterranean, and how the character of Jesus and what he meant to his followers changed over time. Join us, or contact Roy Overmann (email@example.com) for more information.
