May 19 @ 9:45 am - 10:45 am

immigrant-children-940x529

“America’s Dirty War on Immigrant Children and What You Can Do To Help End It” will be presented by Areli Reyes and Kathy Peterson.

Areli entered the United States as an undocumented child with her parents when she was 8 years old. She has also been very successful in school and currently studies at St Louis Community College with DACA status. She has traveled to the border at El Paso to resist the child prison camp there and to assist immigrants who have been held by ICE.

In December, Kathy and her husband joined a St. Louis delegation to resist the child prison camp in Tornillo, Texas. In February she took what she witnessed to Washington D.C., where she joined 28 other lobbyists who visited every congressional office in one week. In March she traveled to the immigrant child prison camp in Homestead, Florida to again witness what the children are experiencing.

Join Areli and Kathy to learn what the immigration crisis is, who is being incarcerated, why this is happening, who is profiting from locking up children, and how to raise your voice against this human rights atrocity.
