Volunteer Opportunities
INSPIRE Mentoring: Mentors partner with parents and teachers to focus on literacy, character development, virtues, and goal-setting. The mentoring session takes place one day a week, your choice, Monday- Thursday, one hour a week form 4:30pm-5:30pm. In addition to the mentoring session, the mentor will be asked to reach out to the parent via phone call to let them know what went on during the mentoring session. We ask that the mentor commitment is one year, but, would love for the mentor to continue year-after-year
IMPACT Tutoring: Tutors can choose to tutor in Communication Arts (Reading and Writing) and/or Mathematics. The commitment is just ONE hour a week from 4:30PM – 5:30PM, ONE day a week ( Monday – Thursday). Tutors work individually or in small groups with students on academic skills and literacy. The tutoring commitment is one semester, however, we would love tutors to stay as long as they wish.
All volunteering will take place at the school site. Volunteer may choose preferred site that is convenient. Team Leaders will be present to help volunteers.
