Participate: Sundays

Youth cutting paper for a Sunday School activityWe want you to feel as though you are part of our community and one way to do that is to participate by serving others. The Ethical Society of St. Louis is always looking for volunteers to participate in various ways.

Sundays provide great opportunities to meet others by participating in our community as greeters, ushers, and Visitors' Open House hosts.

Greeters

The purpose of our Sunday morning greeters is to provide a team of volunteers who greet attendees as they arrive for the Sunday morning Platform meeting. Greeters participate in a training session in October, and each Sunday morning there are four greeters and a coordinator who serve one Sunday each month on a rotating basis.

Ushers

Ushers are needed for Sunday Platforms and are responsible for handing out programs, helping people be seated inside the auditorium prior to 11:00 a.m., counting audience members, and more.

Visitors' Open House Host

The Ethical Society needs volunteers to host Visitors' Open House after Platform each Sunday. Visitors' Open House is a friendly, 30-minute introduction to the Ethical Society for curious visitors. VOH is a great way to help the Society welcome new people. Hosts will be amiable, gregarious types who have been members for at least a year. The commitment involves 4-6 Sundays per calendar year on a set schedule. Training will be provided.
