The Ethicurean Dinners are small, informal dinners that occur four weekends a year, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall, in members’ homes. The purpose of these dinners is to get to know one another and build our Ethical Society community. The benefit is that we will enjoy an evening of good food and good people in an intimate, home setting.
Four times a year, Ethical Society members will sign up for a dinner, and the coordinator will organize who will host and who goes where and when. There will be multiple dinners on multiple nights, but each person will go only to one. For example, depending on how many people sign up, there may be 3 dinners on Friday, 2 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday. Announcements will be made at Platform and in the newsletter from 1 month before the actual week end of the dinners to 1 week before the dinners so that members and friends can have a 3 week period to sign up.
Once the coordinator organizes who goes where and when, each host will contact his or her guests, welcome them, and inform them of what they can bring. All guests will provide their own drink of choice.
The Ethicurean Dinners are a good vehicle for Ethical Society members and friends to get to know one another, build friendship and trust, and raise the quality of relationships within our Ethical Society community.
