Outrageous Women's Group of the Tuesday Women's Association
Beginning in the spring of 1997, a number of Tuesday Women’s Association members gathered under Margaret Ranford’s leadership to read and discuss a provocative article on discovering the positive aspects of aging. This exploration led to many shared experiences and the desire to continue meeting.
A committed group now combines shared readings usually about outstanding women, both serious and humorous, on finding new and perhaps "outrageous" ways of confronting daily life. The Outrageous Women's group has become a fellowship of caring members who are truly supportive. Their closeness has produced a greater tolerance and understanding of human differences while they delight in sharing examples of the ludicrous and humorous.
Meetings typically end with brief meditation. Any interested persons are welcome to visit and/or join the group. Outrageous Women’s group meets at 2 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room at the Society, following the Tuesday Women’s Association weekly program. |
